Management supports and stands behind the officials at the YBSC. Physical harm towards them can possibly involve criminal charges pressed by them or management.

Handshakes following any game, youth and adult have always been a part of hockey and a sportsmanship gesture that the YBSC has encouraged to all players. NOW IT IS REQUIRED! Technically it is already a rule in USAhockey and a part of its sportsmanship requirements. We will require all players to shake hands at the end of a game in the handshake line, unless instructed by the officials not to in the case of avoiding conflict. This call is only by the officials. Those who are not gentlemanly enough to follow this code of conduct will be assessed a minimum one game suspension and future failure to adhere to this ruling will be subject to complete removal from the YBSC.

If any player during the handshake procedes to disrupt, fight, or act in any fashion unsportsmanlike during the handshake their removal from the YBSC will be swift and enforced. We are trying to uphold and support a stronger sense of good will and respect to the game of hockey and make the YBSC and events held at the YBSC a safe and enjoyable environment! Dont be that guy!!
